The Trust has also recently been granted a permit to sell teas, coffees and cakes and we hope to be able to arrange for these to be served from the Quay soon The P22 Gunboat is truly a unique historic vessel as she was built by the Germans to an American design.
The USN P22 is a charitable Trust and a working Museum and during the Summer will be open for visits at weekends. In particular a warm welcome is provided for any war veterans of any Nationality who can meet up and share their stories in a unique historical environment and weather permitting possibly taking a trip into the bay to give them a real historical nudge.
The vessel has a passenger certificate for up to 12 passengers on the river Stour down to the mouth of the Estuary in Pegwell Bay.
